Mr. Baek is the vice president of the Department of Nuclear Safety Research at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). He is also the head of the Thermal-hydraulic Safety Research Center of KAERI. His areas of research include physical integrity, system behavior, risk management, and environmental protection.
