From cyberspace to climate change and extremism to epidemics, non-traditional security threats have begun to plague the world. As countries struggle to coordinate a response to these dangers, there is a heightened need for a global governance system that transcends geopolitical borders. However, as each actor places different priorities on the severity of these threats, cooperation remains difficult. What means are at our disposal to deal with non-traditional threats in the New Normal? How can the international community capitalize on regional cooperation to counter these threats?
