Ambassador Gyaurov is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. He is also the vice chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and Defense as well as a member of the subcommittee controlling intelligence and protective services. He is currently serving as the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee. From 2003 to 2006, he was ambassador to Budapest. From 1997 to 2000, he was the director general of the National Intelligence Service. Mr. Gyaurov received his Master of Law at University St. Kliment Ohridsky in Sofia.
