Professor Rozman retired in 2013 from Princeton University after 43 years on the faculty and began to serve as editor of the new on-line, bimonthly journal, The Asan Forum. He is the Emeritus Musgrave Professor of Sociology and specializes in comparisons and international relations in Northeast Asia. His major at Carleton College was Chinese and Russian Studies, made possible by a junior year at Princeton in the Critical Languages Program. He returned to Princeton for graduate studies in Sociology, while beginning to specialize on Japan as well. Over the years, he has written a number of series of books, most recently a five-volume set on strategic thinking toward Asia and a three-volume collection on national identities and relations in Northeast Asia.
