Mr. Hahn Choong-hee is a career Diplomat with the Republic of Korea’s (ROK) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT). He was recently the ROK Spokesman and Sous-Sherpa for the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit. He has been posted to the ROK embassies in Washington, D.C., from 1991 to 1994, Vienna, from 1999 to 2002, and Paris, from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Hahn has also served as the MOFAT Director for North American Affairs, from 2005 to 2007, and Deputy Director-General for North Korean Nuclear Affairs, from 2007 to 2008. Mr. Hahn was the Acting Director for Policy and DPRK at the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization in New York, from 2002 to 2005. Mr. Hahn holds a B.A. in French from Seoul National University and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He also studied International Relations at University of Paris I Panth?on-Sorbonne.
