Dr. Chow is Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of Macau. Prior to joining the University of Macau, Dr. Chow taught international relations at Reed College as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science. Previously, he also worked as a Research Fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies and taught international relations theory and East Asian politics at Amherst College as a Loewenstein Fellow and a Five College Fellow. Before that, he was a Visiting Fellow at the Ateneo Center for Asian Studies at Ateneo de Manila University and a Project Director at the Berkeley Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Study Center. Dr. Chow’s research focuses on regional politics in Southeast Asia, the development of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the relationship between religion and international politics. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and dual B.A.’s in Political Science and Chinese from Williams College.
