Ambassador Brill is a former U.S. Ambassador to the IAEA and earlier to the Republic of Cyprus. He is also the founding director of the U.S. National Counterproliferation Center. Ambassador Brill has served as a diplomat in Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. After leaving government service, he was the president of the Fund for Peace. He is currently on the Board of the Stimson Center and is a member of the Fissile Material Working Group and the Nuclear Security Governance Experts Group. He has written opinion pieces for the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, the McClatchey News Service, Politico and The Hill. He is a graduate of Ohio University and received his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
