Dr. Li is an assistant professor at the Department of Korean Studies, Peking University. Previously, she was a visiting research fellow at Yonsei University, Korea University, and the Asan Institute for Policy Studies. Her research interests include East Asian political economy, postwar reparations, state-business relations, and North Korean economy. Dr. Li received her B.A. in Korean, B. Econ. in Economics, and M.A. in Korean Studies from Peking University, and her Ph.D. in History from the University of Chicago.
