Mwita Chacha is a graduate research associate at the Center for International Trade and Security, and is also completing his Ph.D. in international relations and comparative politics at the University of Georgia. His dissertation research examined the evolution of regional economic regimes in the developing world. Mr. Chacha will be receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in August 2011 and assume a post-doctoral fellowship at CITS. Prior to joining the University of Georgia in 2005, Mr. Chacha studied Political Science and European Union politics at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia and interned with the Southern Center for International Studies in Atlanta, Georgia.
