Dr. Corden is a visiting scholar at the Center for Science, Technology and Security Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Previously, he was executive secretary and principal speech writer on the US Delegation to the Conference on Disarmament (CD). He led USG backstopping for negotiation of the CTBT, and represented the US to the CTBTO Preparatory Commission. From 2002 to 2007 he was director of Administration on the Commission staff and was office director at the State Department for multilateral arms control issues at the CD and the UN General Assembly’s First Committee, and deputy executive chairman of UNSCOM. He received a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Pennsylvania.
