Dr. Seo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. He is also the Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Studies and Graduate Chair of the department`s Graduate School. Previously, he was an Assistant-Associate Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2004-2010), a visiting assistance professor at the University of Oregon (2003-2004), and a lecturer, preceptor at the University of Chicago. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Yonsei University and his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Chicago. Professor Seo is also the author of numerous works on Sino-Korean relations, and his most recent article is “Post-1980s Multicultural Immigrant Neighborhoods: Koreatowns, Spatial Identities and Host Regions in the Pacific Rim,” with James H. Spencer and Petrice R. Flowers, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (2012 forthcoming).
