Dr. Wang is Distinguished Professor at Tongji University where he serves as Executive Dean of the Institute of International and Public Affairs and Director of the China-Europe Academic Network. He was formerly a diplomat at the Chinese Mission to the European Union from 2008-2011, a professor at the Center for American Studies at Fudan University from 2001-2008, Adjunct Deputy Director of Department of American Studies of Shanghai Institute for International Studies in 2004, Fox Fellow of the Yale Center for International and Area Studies from 2000-2001, and Korea Foundation-Yonsei Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies of Yonsei University in 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from Fudan University and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology.
