Bark Taeho
Dr. Bark is a Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) of Seoul National University and the Ambassador-at-Large for International Economy and Trade. Until March this year, he served as Minister for Trade of the Korean government. Recently, Professor Bark was a candidate for the position of WTO Director-General. He also served as the Chairman of the Korea International Trade Commission. Professor Bark taught at Georgetown University and worked at the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). Dr. Bark also served as Chair of the Investment Expert Group (IEG) of APEC. He was a visiting scholar at the IMF and the World Bank. He has written books and many articles on international trade. Professor Bark received his B.A. from Seoul National University and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
