Participant Biographies

Han Sukhee

Han Sukhee

Associate Professor, Yonsei University

Dr. Han is an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University. He is also the Director of the China Division, Institute of East-West Center at Yonsei and the Director of the China Center at the East Asia Institute (EAI). Previously, he was a member of Korea’s Envoy to China in January 2013, which was dispatched by Korea’s then President-elect, Park Geun-hye. In China, he taught at the School of Government, Peking University for two years and worked as a visiting scholar at the Institute for Asia-Pacific Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Currently he widely writes at the SSCI-listed The Korean Journal of Defense Analysis, Korea Observer, The Korean Journal of International Relations (Korean), and the Journal of Korean Political Science Association (Korean). Dr. Han’s main research interests are Sino-American relations, Sino-Korean relations, Sino-North Korean relations, and China’s elite politics. He completed both undergraduate and MA program at the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, Yonsei University. He continued his M.A.L.D. and Ph.D. degree programs at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
