Mr. Walker is executive director of the National Endowment for Democracy’s (NED) International Forum for Democratic Studies. Prior to joining the NED in July 2012, Mr. Walker was vice president for Strategy and Analysis at Freedom House in New York City, where he oversaw a team of analysts in devising overall strategy for Freedom House’s analytical projects. His articles have appeared in a range of publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Washington Post, Barron’s, Far Eastern Economic Review, Taipei Times, Foreign Policy.com, and World Affairs. Before joining Freedom House, he was a senior associate at the East West Institute. Mr. Walker has served as an adjunct professor of Global Affairs at New York University. He received his B.A. from Binghamton University and his M.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
