TwitterDr. Schmidt is currently a senior research fellow at PRIF in Policies for Security Governance of States. His research expertise covers conventional and nuclear arms control in Europe and on the Korean peninsula. He is a consultant to the German government and to international institutions. He received his doctorate in political science at Frankfurt University in 2002. His dissertation was The Change of Conventional Arms Control 1989-1996. He is also a member of the working group Just Peace of the German Commission Justitia et Pax (Catholic Church).
