Sydney Seiler

Mr. Seiler is a member of the Senior National Intelligence Service. He is also a mission manager for North Korea in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) since mid-2007. Prior to joining DNI, he served in the National Clandestine Service of the CIA. He has spent over 27 years in the intelligence community following North Korea affairs, with assignments in both the collection and analysis. Mr. Seiler received his M.A. in Korean Studies from the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University and is a graduate of the Korean language programs of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey and Yonsei University. He is the author of the book entitled, Kim Il Song 1941-1948: The Creation of a Legend, the Building of a Regime.
