Sharon Squassoni has directed the Proliferation Prevention Program at the Center for Strategic & International Studies since 2010. She joined CSIS from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her research centers on nuclear energy, nonproliferation, security and arms control. Ms. Squassoni advised Congress on weapons of mass destruction from 2002 to 2007 at the Congressional Research Service, and directed the policy coordination office in the Nonproliferation Bureau at the State Department before that. She also served in the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency from 1992 to 1998.
