Sue Mi Terry

Ms. Terry previously worked as the deputy national intelligence officer for East Asia at the National Intelligence Council. Her current work examines North Korean leadership succession plans, Pyongyang’s evolving nuclear strategy, and the potential for instability in North Korea. She is an expert on Korean Peninsula affairs, particularly North Korean security policy and domestic stability issues. She was previously the director of Japan, Korea, and Oceanic Affairs for the National Security Council. She has also been the senior analyst covering a variety of North Korean issues at the Directorate of Intelligence in the CIA.
