Dawn Verdugo

Adjunct Professor, Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), Monterey Institute

Dr. Verdugo is an adjunct professor and research associate at CNS. She serves as a technical subject matter expert for many ongoing CNS research initiatives. Dr. Verdugo holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and spent 7 years as an industrial chemist and project manager in the United States and the Russian Federation. Her research interests include the development of modern safeguards technologies for advanced nuclear fuel cycles, and strengthening cooperation between international scientists and policy-makers focusing on non-proliferation issues.
