Wi Sung-lac

Mr. Wi is currently chief nuclear envoy to the Six-Party Talks for the Republic of Korea. He is also serving as special representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs. He was formerly a counsellor and first secretary in Korean embassies abroad, and spent several years serving the director-general for North American Affairs in 2003. He graduated from the Department of International Relations at Seoul National University and has received Ph.D. in political science from the Institute of International Economics and Political Research at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
