Dr. Mahjoub received a master’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska. He is currently director general of the AAEA based in Tunis. Prior to that, he worked at the IAEA in the department of technical cooperation for a period of seven years from 2001 to 2008. In addition, Dr. Mahjoub has worked as an expert as well as consultant for many international organizations including UNESCO, Food and Agricultural Organization, and the World Food Programme.
