Hosuk Lee
Dr. Lee is a director of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), the leading think-tank on international economy and trade in Europe. He has published widely on foreign economic policy and most notably on Europe’s free trade agreements including the EU-Korea FTA. He has also served as a consultant to several governments and international organizations. Prior to joining ECIPE, he worked in the private sector and for the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In particular, he served as the EU Presidency chairperson in Geneva to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and on the executive committees of various UN institutions. Dr. Lee is appears regularly in European, US and Chinese media, and was named one of the 20 most influential people for open internet by the UK’s Guardian in 2012. Dr. Hosuk Lee was born and educated in Tokyo and Stockholm. He is a graduate of The London School of Economics and Harvard University.
