Dr. Belke is Full Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Director of the Institute of Business and Economic Studies, University of Duisburg-Essen, and Research Director for International Macroeconomics at the German Institute for Economic Research, Berlin. He is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty Ruhr Graduate School of Economics and Visiting Professor at the Europa-Institute at Saarland University, Saarbr?cken, and the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin. He is a member of several German and European economic councils, including the Monetary Experts Panel of the European Parliament, Brussels. He is a Research Fellow and Associate Fellow in several European research institutes, including the Centre for European Policy Studies, and an external consultant for the European Commission. Dr. Belke is the Editor-in-Chief of “Kredit & Kapital” and “Konjunkturpolitik – Applied Economics Quarterly.” He received his Ph.D. from the Ruhr University of Bochum, with support from the German Research Foundation.
