Human Security in North Korea

Dr. Baek is a research fellow in the International Law and Conflict Resolution Center at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies. Before joining Asan, Dr. Baek was a visiting fellow in the Asian Law and Policy Studies Program at Georgetown University Law Center (2011-2012). He also previously worked as a research fellow at the National Human Rights Commission of Korea and at Advocates Korea, a human rights NGO. Dr. Baek received an LL.M and J.S.D. (Doctorate in Law) from Cornell Law School and an LL.B. from Seoul National University. His interests include international human rights, public international law, international organizations, law and development, Third World approaches to international law, international cooperation and social change, and comparative law of the East Asian legal system.
