Nadya A. Larsen

Assistant Professor, Department of Defense

Ms. Nadya A. Larsen holds a Master’s of Arts in International Policy Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies, specialization Security/Terrorism Studies. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with Cum Laude Honors from Monterey Institute of International Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages from Russia. She has worked on the Nuclear Posture Review Project for Monterey Institute Terrorism Research and Education Program Center (MonTREP), the Center for Terrorism and Intelligence Studies, Washington D.C. and General Dynamics Company requested by U.S. Congress. Areas of her expertise are Ideological Extremism and Terrorism in Europe, Central Asia and Northern Caucasus Chemical and Nuclear WMD; Eurasian Internal and Foreign Affairs; Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing. She was a 2009 Pacific Forum CSIS Vasey Fellow, where her research focus was nuclear security in the Russian Far East. Ms. Larsen is currently an Assistant Professor for the Department of Defense.
