Liao Da-chi

Dr. Liao is Professor at the Graduate Institute of Political Science at National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, an advisory board member of the Mainland China Affairs Council, and a Party Review Committee member of the Ministry of the Interior. From 2004 to 2006, she served as the president of the Taiwanese Political Science Association. She is now in charge of Socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities and is the National Contact Point of the European Union’s 7th Framework Program and the E-Society project sponsored by the National Sun Yat-sen University and the Ministry of Education. She is also working with the European University Institute to set up the iVoter website as a communication platform between Taiwanese voters and legislative candidates for the 2012 election. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan.
