John Park

Senior Program Officer, United States Institute of Peace (USIP)

Dr. Park directs the U.S. Institute of Peace’s Northeast Asia Track 1.5 projects: Korea Working Group, U.S.-China Project on Crisis Avoidance & Cooperation, U.S.-ROK-Japan Trilateral Dialogue in Northeast Asia, U.S.-China-Japan Risk Reduction & Crisis Prevention. Dr. Park advises Northeast Asia policy-focused officials at the State Department, Defense Department, National Security Council, and on congressional committees. Prior to joining USIP, Dr. Park worked in Goldman Sachs` public finance group. Prior to that, he was the Project Leader of the Harvard Kennedy School`s North Korea Analysis Group. Park received his M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Cambridge University. He completed his pre-doctoral and postdoctoral training at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.
