Mr. Robledo is a political scientist, journalist, professor of international relations at the School of Political Science, and a foreign policy researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Universidad Diego Portales, in Santiago, Chile. He has been a consultant on regional governance at the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean for the United Nations Development Programme. Mr. Robledo served as Foreign and Defense Policy advisor to President Michelle Bachelet from March 2006 to March 2010. Between August 2005 and March 2006, Mr. Robledo was Chief of the Advisory Committee to the Minister of Defense of Chile. Mr. Robledo received a B.A. in communications from the School of Journalism at the University of Chile, and an M.A in national security affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
