Kim Sung-han
Dr. Kim is Professor of International Relations at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) and director of Ilmin International Relations Institute at Korea University. He recently served as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2012-2013. Dr. Kim was the Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on WMD in 2013-2014 and he is now the Chair of the Korean National Committee of CSCAP (Council on Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific). Dr. Kim specializes in U.S. foreign policy and international security. He has served on numerous presidential commissions, councils, and committees related to foreign affairs and national security issues. His most recent articles published in scholarly journals include “From Blood Alliance To Strategic Alliance,” “The End of Humanitarian Intervention?,” “North Korea: Between Survival and Glory,” and “Exploring a Northeast Asian Peace and Security Mechanism.” Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
