Aaron L. Friedberg

Dr. Friedberg is Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University and co-director of the Woodrow Wilson School’s Center for International Security Studies. He is also a non-resident senior fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and a Senior Advisor to the National Bureau of Asian Research. His publications include “The Weary Titan: Britain and the Experience of Relative Decline, 1895-1905” (Princeton University Press, 1988, in English), “In the Shadow of the Garrison State: America’s Anti-Statism and its Cold War Grand Strategy” (Princeton University Press, 2000, in English) and “A Contest for Supremacy: China, America and the Struggle for Mastery in Asia” (W.W. Norton, 2011, in Japanese, Chinese and Korean). Dr. Friedberg received his B.A. in 1978 and his Ph.D. in 1986, both from Harvard University.
