Mesut Özcan

Prof. Mesut Özcan is Director of the Diplomacy Academy of Turkey and Professor of International Relations at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, Department of International Relations. Prof. Özcan worked at the Center for Strategic Research at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey as Deputy Chairman and Chairman from 2011-2014 and 2016-2018. Prof. Özcan was Assistant Professor at Istanbul Commerce University (2007-2011) and lectured at Istanbul Şehir University and TOBB Economy and Technology University, Ankara (2012-2016). Prof. Özcan received his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations and M.A. from Marmara University, Istanbul. He also studied at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University on the Jean Monnet Master Scholarship for one year. He completed his Ph.D. at Boğaziçi University in 2007.
