Leadership and the Legacies of the Arab Spring

Dr. Hudson assumed the directorship of the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore in 2010, and is Professor of Political Science in NUS`s Department of Political Science. Previously, he was Director of the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and Professor of International Relations at Georgetown University, where he is now Professor Emeritus. He has held Guggenheim, Ford, and Fulbright fellowships and is a past President of The Middle East Studies Association. Dr. Hudson’s research interests include the Arab uprisings, Lebanese politics, U.S. Middle East policy, Gulf security, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. He has published widely and lectured in universities around the world. He is regularly interviewed by international media on Middle East issues. He did his undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College and holds a M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University.
