Gordon Wyn Jones

Mr. Jones is a Ph.D. candidate at King`s College London (Department of War Studies), with research focusing on Japan`s nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament diplomacy. Gordon has a bachelor’s in economics in international politics (Aberystwyth University 1987) and master’s in international studies and diplomacy (SOAS, 2009). During the intervening period, he pursued a successful career with a major Japanese corporation, including nine years based in Dubai, heading a regional operation for Middle East and North Africa. A member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), Asiatic Society of Japan, and Japan Society UK, Gordon maintains joint Asian security and nuclear interests, which have included involvement with the Pugwash Group, the Project on Nuclear Issues (PONI) UK initiative, and the International Network of Emerging Nuclear Specialists (INENS).
