Greg Scarlatoiu
Mr. Scarlatoiu is executive director of the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK) in Washington, D.C. He was previously director of Public Affairs and International Business at the Korea Economic Institute (KEI) in Washington, D.C. and Radio Free Asia editorial consultant and Korean language columnist. Before KEI, he was management associate for the International Science and Technology Institute, Inc. in Arlington, Virginia, an international development consulting firm contracted by USAID, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. He holds an M.A. in international relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and Seoul National University, and a B.A. in international relations from Seoul National University. Mr. Scarlatoiu is fluent in Korean, French, and Romanian. He is a board member of the International Council on Korean Studies. In 1999, Mr. Scarlatoiu was conferred the title of Citizen of Honor, City of Seoul.
