Panel Description
New technologies and strategies are testing old theories of deterrence and shaping the future of war. There has been a surge in armed conflicts around the world, with multiple wars including Ukraine, Gaza and Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, Ethiopia, and more. The rise of hybrid warfare and gray zone operations is further complicated by advances in military technology, whether drones or hypersonic missiles. Countries are also re-arming and revitalizing their defense industries to meet the demands of new arms races. How will this shifting nature of warfare shape the new faces of war?
