Dr. Nataraj is a Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi. She is an Economist with more than 18 years of research experience in international trade issues, trade policy of India and other developing economies. She has carried out research on FDI issues, regional trading agreements, and the economies of Japan and China. She has been a consultant to many international organizations (DFID, JETRO) and has published in refereed national and international journals during her academic stint with reputed organizations such as Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). She has been a visiting fellow at the Policy Research Institute in Japan’s Ministry of Finance and also the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo. She has also served as a visiting faculty to the Institute of Finance Management in Tanzania and trained the senior officers of the Ministry of Foreign Trade in Cairo, Egypt.
