Panel Description
South Korea and the United States have prospered from vibrant trade and investment. Currently, South Korea is the seventh-largest trade partner of the United States, and the United States is the second-largest trade partner of South Korea. U.S. investment in South Korea has increased by over 20%, while Korean investment in the U.S. has increased by over 60% since implementing the KORUS FTA. Looking ahead, the bilateral relationship is likely to be influenced by circumstances surrounding regional economic order, supply chain, and technology. What are the most prominent challenges facing South Korea and the United States under the current economic and technological landscape? How do we adapt and recalibrate the cooperative efforts of the ROK-U.S. partnership to expand cooperation in both public and private domains?
