Panel Description
The question of North Korea has bound South Korea and the United States together for many decades since the Korean War. Over the years, the two countries have made every effort to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula and reduce the threat posed by North Korea. This effort, however, has yet to result in lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea continues to modernize and develop its nuclear capability while engaging in a cycle of brinkmanship. What risks does North Korea pose to regional stability and peace? How should the ROK-U.S. alliance best address this challenge and handle the issue of denuclearization?
